The morning started out foggy. Sitting on the veranda enjoying a cup of tea, I could feel the wet fog caress my face. Although humid, it was a lovely morning. Then a thunderstorm passed through bring rain. Turkey was visiting with three friends. They were quite vocal about being stuck in the rain and eventually made their way to a tree, which they stood under until it stopped. It was quite the site!
Today, Ottawa’s mayor came out, proudly announcing he’s gay. I can’t imagine what it must be like to live a lie your entire life…not being able to be who you are for fear of….well, so much.
I imagine a day when we can be free to be who we are, and to love who we love, without fear. And without having to come out. No judgement, no fear…just love and acceptance.
Love and acceptance to be who we were born to be. To use and share the gifts we came into this world with.
One day…
On another note, today is my cousin Erick’s wedding. He’s marrying his sweetheart Emilie. I’m looking forward to sharing in their special day.
Today’s painting is the card I painted for them.

Todays photo will come later…I’m hoping to take some on location at the wedding.
