A beautiful breezy warm sunny day, which unfortunately had me sneezing. Ragweed season is in full swing. I tend to hibernate for a few weeks in August and September, which is also my favourite time of the year to be outside…cooler days and nights, the smells are different, fresher somehow.
Every year I start off with antihistamines, but usually give up after a week or so as they drag me down. I get so tired when I take them. Oh well. It could be worse so I’ll suck it up and keep a smile on my face. I mean, this summer has been incredible and I was so lucky and blessed to be able to be out enjoying and soaking up every second of it.
Last evening, on my way into FarmBoy, my eye was caught by soft pink against a dark brown. Such a wonderful colour combination! Even better, the pink belonged to soft petals of a rose. There’s something so gentle about a pink rose. Energetically, pink represents the higher heart chakra, and unconditional love. I’ve been working on self-love and what better way to practice it than bringing a pink rose plant home with me, which is just what I did!

Which inspired tonight’s painting:
