Beginning of the last long weekend of summer

Friday, 4 September 2020

I’m sitting here, staring at a blank page and nothing – and I mean nothing – is coming to me. I don’t know what to write. I guess I can start with what a beautiful day it was. I moved a couple of bird feeders to the veranda a few days ago and am happy to have the birds close by again. I’m getting ready for the bird count project that starts in November.

The hummingbird feeders are still up. I’ll move a couple of hanging baskets to the garden to free up spots for the new bird feeders.

Mr and Mrs Rose-breasted grosbeaks dropped by for a feed. I couldn’t get a good picture of them together but I did manage one of him.

I start sign-language class tomorrow. It will be a virtual class. I’m looking forward to it as it’s something I’ve always wanted to learn.

Well, that’s about it for tonight. I expect to be busy this weekend, the last long weekend of the summer. Lots of projects to get completed before the cold weather hits.

Today’s photos

The daily sunflower photo…a closeup and wide angle, plus tonight’s almost sunset.
