Happy birthday aunt Bobby!
Remember that tea candle I made with my sister and nieces a week or two ago? Well it was ready to light today. The scent – Love – was divine and softly wafted through my room and down the hallway.

As the day progressed my energy levels plummeted, as did Mom’s. We almost put off our shopping trip to Ottawa but at the last moment I changed my mind and said, let’s just do it. I wanted to buy a few new bird feeders and some seed and, honestly, I really wanted to get out of the house and needed a change of scenery.

That view of the peace tower as we cross the river never gets old. This time I remembered to bring my DSLR to get a decent photo.
Even though we were only gone a few hours and went to one store, the change of routine, the change of scenery, seeing and engaging with people, it was wonderful and lifted our energy. I feel renewed. Same as the last time we went out, on our way home we acknowledged how good we felt and vowed to do it more often. But, as happens, we slipped into our old routine and habits. I really need to start reading my own blog to remind myself of these moments! 🙂
