-13°C was the reading on the thermometer yet it felt a lot colder. My thumbs were so cold they felt numb and could no longer switch the lens from auto to manual focus. Yet I stayed put, trying different settings and angles, hoping to get a good shot of Jupiter and Saturn.
Three times I went out to get the shot and two times I came back, inserted the SD card into the reader only to be disappointed by the results. I didn’t look at the photos from the third try as I was just too cold to go out again.
The camera or tripod moved…maybe it was the wind pushing it. The last session, I connected to the camera with my phone to try remote shooting so I wouldn’t need to touch the camera, less chance or shaking. It seemed better however, my fingers got so cold the phone didn’t recognize my swiping anymore!!!

Turns out there was a windchill and it felt like -20°C. That makes more sense!
