Marie Kondo. I binge watched this new Netflix series then pulled all of my clothes out of the closet and dresser, creating a massive pile on my bed.
For some reason, I believed I didn’t have a lot of clothes, so you can imagine my shock as the pile on the bed got higher and higher. I was not only shocked but embarrassed as well.
It took me a good portion of the afternoon to sort through the pile. I have 5 garbage bags of clothes that will be dropped off at Value Village in the coming days, 8 pieces of clothing hanging in the closet and the dresser drawers are filled, neatly and tidy and so much easier to find things!
In addition to watching Marie Kondo’s tidying techniques, I’ve been reading Clear your clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston. My sister lent it to me. I’m looking forward to getting my house in order.
On a more creative side, I had lots of birds visiting the feeder today and the sun was shining, which made for great shots. It was hard to pick just one, so I ended up picking two.

As for the painting, I decided to try recreating one I did a few years ago. I watched a lady (whose name escapes me) on PBS paint this beautiful watercolour sunset scene and followed along with her technique. Then put my paints away for some time. I had a go at trying to recreate it. I think I’ll keep trying, every so often, until I get my desired look/feel.
