I woke up this morning, glanced outside, saw a sky of white, turned back, snuggled back in to bed. I was tired and blah. Fast forward several hours to a bright blue sky and sunshine and I felt like skipping and singing.
And with that sunlight my mood lifted to giddy heights, putting a spring in my step.
But boy, it was cold! We were tempted to nap instead of going out for a walk but we talked ourselves into a walk in the sunshine. I was worth it. I felt invigorated afterwards.
A bonus this morning as I looked out my bedroom window, I saw a bald eagle soaring over the field. I watched him soar then land on the top of a tree. I took a picture but he was pretty far away so it’s not very clear.
After feeding the cats, I bundled up and headed outdoors. Shovelling the veranda was my first priority, then cleaning snow off the feeders and filling them with fresh seed and then cleaning and filling the bird bath with fresh water. Of course I had to stop regularly to take pictures and videos!
Several hours later, the sun came out. Oh my, the sky was a brilliant blue, the snow sparkled like diamonds in the sun.
