We’re back to normal, although we may be abstaining from chicken for the time being. We both skipped our daily walks yesterday and by the time night rolled around, my legs were itching to get up and move. Amazing how quickly our bodies adapt to new routines. We resumed our walks today, a little slower than before the chicken incident but well on our way!
I’m excited for the weekend. I had an awesome day at work and it’s spilling into my evening and hopefully into the weekend. We just finished watching Polar Express – on a DVD player of all things! I feel ancient! HaHaHa! We’re getting our tree on Sunday (inner child jumping up and down right now!) The Christmas village will be going up this weekend. Homemade Christmas gifts need to be designed and sent out for printing. It’s all coming together.
We – finally – sold our fridge and the new owner will be picking it up tomorrow, which means more room in our kitchen. We have had two fridges in our kitchen since last month! Our kitchen is small to begin with, but two fridges has made it much smaller. Not to mention the new, beast of a fridge, that sticks out several inches more than the old one. But every day I open the doors and profess my love for it. It’s a beauty. Two doors open wide with so much space. Plus the freezer, on the bottom, is a large drawer that pulls out. It’s ridiculous how excited I am about this fridge. No more bending over looking for things…I was always looking for things. Now, everything has its place and it’s right in front of me. It’s silver, shiny and a beaut!
Whoever said things don’t bring happiness obviously never had a need, want or care for a bigger fridge! 🤣

It rained all day. Sometimes real heavy, other times a gentle but steady rain. I looked out my bedroom/office window to see someone looking back.
This little guy was trying to cross the road during a busy time. A tractor trailer blew the horn a few times which was enough for him to head back to the forest. But what a treat to see him this morning! Also heard a pileated woodpecker throughout the day but wasn’t able to spot him.
I donned my yellow rain jacket and rubber boots to head out to retrieve the recycle and food bins from the roadside. Took a little walk around the property taking pictures until the rain got too heavy and I had to put the phone away.
My beautiful sunflower has two more heads blooming from it. Still a few more to come. The thistle beside it is also in full bloom!

A rainy, foggy day today. Great creative inspiration.
Rain jacket on, I headed into the rainy morning to fill up the bird feeders and snap some photos of the fog in the field across from the house, which inspired today’s painting.
