Freezing rain. Most of the day. Enough said.
A quiet day, a little painting, a little napping, a little photography, a little bird watching…
A day full of changes…weather wise that is! We went from cloudy to full on snow, to rain, to sunshine and blue skies and I have a picture for each moment. It was a challenge picking one out for photo of the day but I did and I chose the redpolls!
For the painting of the day I just went with the flow and this is where I ended:
I had two paintings I had started a few nights ago but didn’t like where they were going or the paper was too wet and the paper was peeling. I didn’t throw them out, thinking I could use the backside as a scrap piece of paper. Mom saw them and was confused why I thought they were no good. I showed them to her, explained my reasoning but she wasn’t buying it. She thought they were fine and I was being to particular. I put them aside and thought I could work on them another day. Maybe one day instead of painting a new painting, I could work on the ones I didn’t like… Well… I was having such a great and relaxing time painting that I had a go at both and am very pleased with how they turned out! Who knew? (Apparently my Mom did!)
Oh that perfectionist…she needs to go somewhere for a very very long trip and hopefully not return.
Happy day!
