And that was Saturday

Happy Birthday Alex!!!

Today started out with snow and ended with a gorgeous sunset.

Today was the final day of the RootsTech Conference. This year it was online and free! Unfortunately it ran Thursday to Saturday and I wasn’t able to attend during the work day but I believe we can view everything after the conference. I have a few talks bookmarked to watch when I have a moment…got to make that moment as an opportunity like this doesn’t come around every year.

I did take advantage of a one-on-one session with an expert to get tips on finding information on my great-great-great grandfather. I have info on his life in Canada but I really want to find his home in Ireland and the ship he came over on. The expert started the session with an apology as this wasn’t her area of expertise. She was helpful in other areas and gave me some tips for going forward. It was my first time reaching out to someone for help with this, so that’s something…

I put my new writing desk together today. Only took a couple of hours and I didn’t loose my cool once, thanks to Connor’s playlist that kept me singing while I cranked the allen key. Now I have no excuse to write. Actually, I’m typing this on my tablet, at my new desk.

A few more of my favourite photos from today. Have a great night!

I took a break from shoveling to capture the sun glowing on the snow. So beautiful! WQuinn 2021
