The bonus of having a Saturday feel like Sunday all day is I feel like I gained a day, what with tomorrow actually being Sunday. Weird, I know, but what can I say?
Yesterday I wrote about a change of scenery. In addition to that, I also changed my camera lens… to shake things up a little.
Tamron 18-270mm. This is a lens I haven’t had out for some time. It was a dream lens I had posted on my vision board, which I later purchased second hand. I was over the moon to have it but, after looking at vacation photos on my computer monitor, I noticed the images were not sharp. Not sharp enough for me…I’m pretty picky. So I took the lens out of my bag and put it on the shelf, and didn’t look back.
Until yesterday. I thought I’d give it another go. I took a bunch of landscape photos yesterday that look decent on my phone. I have yet to open them on my computer. Today I took a couple of the frost faeries and a bunch of my niece’s dog, Wall-E. Again, they look decent on my phone. I’ll check them out tomorrow and see how they look on the monitor and, better yet, print a few!
I must say, regardless of the quality, it’s fun shooting with a different lens, trying different things, angles, settings, focal lengths.
It’s as good as a rest!
