An empty street, partially cloudy sky, taken at night
Deserted street tonight

A cold winter night can be a deterrent from taking the garbage out. Then again, it’s the cold nights that have the brightest stars. Add a quiet street due to Covid curfew and it’s a recipe for a peaceful moment in nature.

Today was the quintessential January day, sunny and cold. Mom and I enjoyed a lunchtime walk to the river, me on snowshoes, she with her boots on the trail. We enjoyed the sunshine so much, taking time after our walk to sit on the stairs and soak it up.

It’s days like this that help us get through the grey, dreary days. Kind of like charging our batteries for power outages. Hoping for many more to come!
