And then there was sunshine

Saturday, 2 January 2021

I woke to a winter wonderland this morning! We received about eight centimeters of snow during the night.

After feeding the cats, I bundled up and headed outdoors. Shovelling the veranda was my first priority, then cleaning snow off the feeders and filling them with fresh seed and then cleaning and filling the bird bath with fresh water. Of course I had to stop regularly to take pictures and videos!

Several hours later, the sun came out. Oh my, the sky was a brilliant blue, the snow sparkled like diamonds in the sun.

We took advantage of the sunshine and went for a walk in the snow, soaking up the warmth and light. Vitamin D never felt so good!
