Soulful Sunday

Sunday, 6 December 2020

My soul is filled thanks to a beautiful day.

Waking up to sunshine is a bonus and one that sparks my inner light. I’m grateful for quiet sunny mornings with my fur babies and mom, watching the birds – it’s count day – and watching a bald eagle soaring over the river.

My brother and nephews helped us get our Christmas 🎄 tree then spent time creating in the workshop.

One thing this pandemic has taught me is how precious family and loved ones are. I’m grateful for them, I’m grateful for our health. I’ve been taking it for granted mostly because no one close to me has become infected or ill and that’s not a valid excuse. I realize how precious life is and how quickly things can change.

During our walk late this afternoon, we saw another bald eagle 🦅. Time stood still as it soared by us and we watched, in awe and with respect. In that moment I knew, no mater what is to come, we are not alone and we are ok.

It was a homemade kind of day: Homemade beef soup, homemade buns courtesy of my brother, homemade butter tarts and, missing from the photo is my nephew’s delectable 100 hour brownie! ©WQuinn 2020
