Yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to go to a grocery store to pick up a few things. We don’t need a full order and online has a minimum order for delivery or pickup. So, instead of placing a large order when we only need a few things… I was looking forward to picking a few gala apples that are firm and crisp.
I must say, the apples we’ve been getting lately from curbside pickup have been… disappointing is a probably a safe word to use.
My plan was to get up early, be at the store as it opened.
What is that saying…God laughs when we make plans?
I arrived at our local IGA around noon. What. Was. I. Thinking?
I was thinking Covid has been around since March. Everyone knows how to stay safe, give each other space…
I was thinking Covid has been around for nine months, people know to follow the arrows on the floor, to not crowd each other…
I was thinking… it’s November, we are well into the second wave, the Prime Minister said to stay home, surely they cap the number of shoppers in the store?
I was thinking… Why don’t they wipe the pin pad down between users? They used too, didn’t they.
I was thinking…this was a bad idea… I’ll put up with disappointing apples…so what if they’re soft? I can always make apple sauce.
