Blue moon and a red bird

I just had a happy moment as I was writing this…we gain an hour of sleep tonight!

My morning started with a glance outside my bedroom window. Frost faeries covered the bottom of the window but it was the setting moon that stole the show. The blue moon.

Then there was the sunrise

I sipped my tea while watching the birds at the feeder. A male Cardinal popped in then quickly flew off when he saw my camera. I watched him land in a nearby tree and watch me.

I may have used some strong language about how “shy” he was. He flew back and posed for me. This was the longest a cardinal has stayed around to get a few shots.
