A rainy Saturday means something different to everybody. For me, it could be a lazy day, sipping homemade herbal tea by a cozy fire and reading an interesting book. Or watching an exciting movie. Or…reorganizing the house.
Nothing is ever simple with Mom and I. We said we would spend the day decluttering and started with the living room. My idea was to take everything out of the cupboards, lay it out on the table and floor and make piles: keep, donate and garbage/recycle. We did just that and it went much better than I thought. I suppose it helps that we did this a couple of years ago. Anyway, back to the living room.
All we need to do now is put everything back. But no. I decided…let’s change things up a bit. What if we move that part over there and then put that over there, then add those shelves there, then we could do this…
It’s almost 9:30 pm. Stuff is all over the house. The cupboards are still bare. Mom is doing her darndest to make a coat hanger thingy fit in the new cupboard…without the proper tools…All I can say is it is never dull in this house!
