The last weekend in August. Kind of feels like the last weekend in Summer too but that’s still a few weeks away.
It was a beautiful day…hot and sunny. I actually had to turn the air conditioning on this afternoon as my room got very uncomfortable when the sun made it to my side of the house.
I stepped out on the veranda this morning to take pictures of the sunflower. It sure is gorgeous! The sun was shining on it, making it look like it was shining.

I managed to get out to the butterfly garden this evening, after sunset when the ragweed pollen was not too bad. I cut some peppermint and spearmint to dry for tea.
They’re calling for rain tomorrow so our plan is to go through the closets and get rid of stuff. We did this a couple of years ago and it felt amazing. The energy in the house is feeling stifled and we’re both feeling it, so it’s time to purge and let the energy flow again.
Today’s photos:
Closeup of the sunflower, and Dukes posing with his tennis ball.

Have a great weekend!!!
