Hump Day

Wednesday, 5 August 2020

I’m restless. I don’t want to say I’m bored because I have too many things to keep me occupied for the rest of my life…if I live to be 100 that is. No, I think it’s more like COVID-19 has finally gotten to me. I had a taste of normal life on the weekend and, frankly, I want more of that.

More of going where I want, when I want, with whomever I want.

I’ve been looking at Cineplex’s line up…just saying.

Yet, there’s a part of me screaming “DON’T DO IT!!!!”

Back to the things that could keep me occupied forever, I harvested a lot of chamomile today. It’s been almost a week since my last harvest, with being at the cottage and raining every day since I’ve been back, I finally put on my rubber boots and headed out to the garden. Not only did I spend time plucking chamomile, a little lemon balm and licorice mint, but also yellow and green beans and tomatoes! What a great lunch that was!

My goal is to have enough chamomile, lemon balm and spearmint/peppermint to make tea all winter. I also have licorice mint. Not sure how it will taste but it smells amazing, just like black licorice.

I took lots of photos throughout the day. Here’s a gallery of some of my favs. Enjoy!
