Saw my first monarch of the season this afternoon!!! He danced around me and Mom for a while before heading off to search for flowers. What a gift.
I ate my lunch outside, beside the butterfly garden, keeping an eye open for caterpillars or butterflies. I saw a Black wasp and one bumble bee. Funny enough, I took a photo very similar to this one below, on the same date last year.

A storm rolled through, just south of us, bringing dark skies and rolling thunder but that was it for us. A progression of the sunflower from left to right: today, yesterday and the day before.
