It was a quiet one today. After a few late nights and many sleepless nights, I finally had a great sleep last night and slept in until 10 am this morning! Yikes! That’s rare for me.
The heat wave is back on so I opted to stay indoors today and work on improving my photography skills. I spent time looking at the raw files of the photos I took from last night’s shoot of Comet Neowise, comparing the settings for each file, reviewing the overall image for sharpness, composition etc. It was a very good exercise because it showed me where I can do better for the next time.
This is one of the photos I worked on this afternoon. I found the comet was getting lost in the original photo because of the trees in the forefront so I cropped the image, allowing the comet to become the main focus of the image. I darkened the image slightly, sharpened it a little, and voila.

I spent a little while in my garden, harvesting tea herbs and I found another cucumber that will be ready in a day or two.
Painting may be on my agenda tomorrow as I’ve been missing it.
Here are some flower photos from my garden today. Enjoy!

These Gerber daisies just keep on blooming! We’re up to seven on this plant! This is it’s second summer and continues to amaze me at how robust and healthy it is.
Below are: Fuchsia, Geranium, Citronella and Petunia.
