Happy birthday to my awesome brother-in-law!
Another early start to the day. This time 3:30 am. We were bound and determined to get a good look at that comet. We looked and looked, moved around, looked some more and I was ready to call it quits, my bed calling to me, when Mom saw it! Small clouds had moved in, covering it for a short time. Then it disappeared again. It was faint, hard to see.
While waiting, I took a couple of photos of the sky but they didn’t turn out. Before we left, I aimed my camera and tripod to where I thought the comet would be and hit the shutter button. It looked like a blob of blur and I forgot about it. Until I transferred the photos to my computer. I opened it and wow, I captured the comet. It’s tiny. Faint. Hard to see. But…it’s there!
Now I shift my attention to capturing it during the night hours. No more early mornings…phew!
