I’m a day late posting as I’ve bee under the weather. What strikes me as I think about the day yesterday is how quickly I’ve forgot the details like the weather. It’s all merged into and blurred with Friday and Sunday.
I believe it started out warm…we reached a high of 10°C on our thermometer. I slept in to almost 9:30 am, which is unusual for me. I remember waking, looking at the dreary grey sky and turning over.
It rained all day – grateful for my cheery yellow rain coat while I filled the bird feeders.
We headed to town to pick up a few things to finish our kitchen project. We started last year and never finished but are motivated to get it down now before Christmas. We installed bead board on one wall and needed filler for the nails and molding to finish it off. We arrived at Home Depot 28 minutes before closing and managed to get everything, including having them cut our molding, and were exiting as they announced they were closing!
I really wasn’t in the mood to paint, wanted to go to bed early but I’ve come to far to miss a day now.

Today’s photo is of the Gerber (?) plant that gave us so much joy this summer and fall. It was still thriving even after several frosts so I brought it into the house to see how it would do. Well…it’s about to bloom again! Two blossoms have formed. It truly is the plant that keeps on giving! (Cheesy, I know)
