365…347

And just like that it’s a new day and I didn’t post my blog. I was working on my family tree book, lost all track of time and when I do glance at the clock, thinking it must be about 9 pm, it’s actually 12:03 am…the next day?

I’ve been hoping, trying, to get the book completed and off to print before the new year because my yearly InDesign subscription renews in early January and I want to cancel it…for so many reasons. The only reason I want to keep it is because I love the software. It’s easy to use. I’ve been using it since it’s inception. But the price… Anyways.

I keep allowing myself to become distracted while working on the book. I’m in the editing stage, making the edits, noticing a fact that doesn’t have a source…where’s the source…back on Ancestry.ca or my family tree software to search for the source. Or I decide to add a photo…it’s never ending!

Earlier in the day, I was watching a woodpecker at the feeder and taking his picture when a blue jay flew in and tried to displace him. Woodpecker was having none of that nonsense and the blue jay backed off. Very happy to have been able to capture the moment!

A little wet-on-wet watercolour tonight. I love this technique as you never know quite how it’s going to work out. I like the mood of this one and thought the trees added to it.
