What a strange day for weather! Clouds, flurries, sunshine ⛅, clouds, hail, sunshine, clouds, rain…

So this weekend was one of those “when you make plans, God laughs” beginning at about 8:15 Saturday morning. I’ll spare you the boring details suffice to say that I ended up with a very sore knee that required a weekend of ice and rest. Good news for my book as it gave me plenty of time to edit and do some more research. Not so good for getting ready for my trip.

For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel guilty for working on my book all day, or binge watching the new season of Jack Ryan. I always manage to make myself feel like the things I want to do are not worthy of spending time doing. What’s that about, I wonder?

I took a break from both though to paint this night scene. I hope you like it. And I promise myself to make time to do more of what I like to do.
