365…278

It seems the older I get, the more of a homebody I become. I get a thrill when I know I’m going to be home for the weekend…no plans, no going anywhere, no visitors, no entertaining or being entertained…just me, my yard, and my cats, and my mom, of course!

Now don’t get me wrong. I love people and going places. But I love my quiet, alone time more.

I spent my day outside, working around the yard getting ready for winter. It was a lot of fun. I’m tired and was nodding off at 6:30 but it’s a good tired.

I was happy to see some of my flowers made it through the frost. Hardy little guys:

It was a busy backyard today:

The geese were flying in by the hundreds:

But the most exciting was this little fella visiting and it’s the photo of the day;

Imagine, a monarch butterfly in October! I waa sure they had all left by now.

In anticipation of a busy day, I painted my daily painting early this morning:

Have a great night and see you tomorrow!
