Mom was kind enough to mention that Christmas is four months from today! I love Christmas…just not ready for the nice warm weather to be gone!
Last week, on her way home from a funeral in Almonte, she went straight at a cross road, instead of turning right. Little did she know, that small “mistake” led her to a field of sunflowers. Knowing my love of sunflowers, she wanted to share it with me. So today we headed to Almonte for a Sunday drive. My niece Shaeleen joined us. We drove through Almonte, admiring the town and making wishes for our future (I want to move here one day!!!) Just outside of town is Harshell Enterprises and their field of sunflowers. They welcome passerbys to take many photos but to respect the flowers at the same time. I took lots and really enjoyed being able to experience a field of joy up close!
