What a beautiful morning! As I stepped onto the veranda, the scent of the promise of rain heavy in the air. The crickets were loudly chirping, the birds calling. It was a pleasant morning to telework, sitting on the veranda enjoying nature and plugging along on my latest project…which I finished three days ahead of schedule… something to say about working in nature!
Wish I could say the same for my painting. It was a struggle tonight. I was blank. No ideas. I rested my head on my arm on the table, beside the white blank sheet and waited. Then I knew I just had to pick a colour and go with it…see what would come.
I trusted and followed my gut. I wanted pink, like a soft sunrise. Then purple mountains. But I always paint mountains…so what? How about a reflection…don’t forget the birds…
