Another humid day today, even after two rain showers. There’s a chance of a thunderstorm any time now…promising relief. Love the air-conditioning but looking forward to a cool night with the windows open.
After supper, I found myself in the garden washing the bird bath and filling the feeders. I glanced at the sky and was overcome with awe. The sunsets here never cease to amaze me! I took a few pictures but they don’t do it justice. I could see the yellow sky through the too branches of the tallest tree in the bush across from me. It was a golden yellow with streaks of orange and red and whisps of blue. The trees and field were visible, not yet silhouette.

I decided in that moment to paint it.

Not quite the sky I wanted but good experience with watercolour paints to know what not to do next time.
Oh! I hear thunder rolling! Window is opened a crack…
Today’s photo is an update of the baby geese who have been visiting all summer.

They’re almost fully grown. It won’t be long til they’re flying. Once they do, they’ll fly to neighbouring fields for their meals instead of our backyard.
