Happy Canada Day π¨π¦!!!
The official start to summer is here and beautiful weather with it. I spent most of the day outside enjoying the day. A picnic in my flower garden, taking nature pictures, and pleinair painting.
I’m very lucky to be living close enough to Ottawa to benefit from the annual Snowbirds and CF-18 flyby at noon on the hill. They tend to fly around the area before hand which means many fly-bys, several over the house!

The sun and clouds produced some beautiful sundogs;

I wanted today’s painting to be special and represent Canada or Canada Day in some way. This is what I ended up painting:

It took me about an hour to draw it and about two to paint it. Had a lot of fun working on it. The weather was fabulous to be painting outdoors!
Well, this is the end of my summer vacation. (boohoo). I’ve had a real blast and enjoyed every second of it. Just wish it could have gone on and on and on!
