Tuesday, 25 June 2019 – 6 months until Christmas!

Woke up to a rainy day, which led to a sleep-in. Don’t you just love rainy mornings? Especially when you don’t have to be somewhere. You can be lazy and lounge around, read a book… whatever makes you happy.

I decided to head to the basement to paint. We’ve been reorganizing the basement after we had a bit of water come in this spring. It’s been pretty disorganized and not a welcoming or creative space. But it’s getting there. It took some time this morning to set up a space to work. So I didn’t have as much time to paint. But it sure felt great to be in that space again.

I worked on my painting of the day and was having so much fun, really in the creative zone that I could have kept going all day and night. But I had somewhere to be this evening. Looking forward to getting into that space again.

I’m really enjoying being off. So much freedom to do whatever. I know I’ll like retirement when it’s my time. Only 15 years to go!

I saw a bunch of daisies on the side of the road while driving this evening. I was on a back road…no traffic, so pulled over, got out and started taking pictures. I just love daisies, especially a field of them! The only thing better would be a field of sunflowers. One of these days!
