Just under the wire! It’s 22:39 and I just finished my painting!
What a spectacular summer June day! Sunny, cloudy, big fluffy white clouds, heat!
After work, Mom and I went for a drive. I needed to pop in to the vet’s to pickup Dukes calorie reduced cat food. Instead of rushing home, we decided to do what we do best and meander around, driving down roads we’ve been wanting to see where they lead… I only stopped once to take pictures!
This evening was spent cleaning the inside of my car…a long time coming, especially since the emergency shovel and snow brush were still in the back of the car.
I really didn’t know what to paint. I decided to start with a bluish sky. Once that was laid down, I felt like a sunset was needed too. Then I saw a stream or very small river. And it just kept going.
I was sure one of the pics I took during our drive would be picture of the day, but when I downloaded a few of them to my phone, I was disappointed in them. I have been using my 24mm lens this week to shake things up a bit. I can’t say I’m overly excited about it. The macros have been interesting but the landscapes, not so much. I’ll keep at it though as I’m sure I’ll find it’s sweet spot.
So, tonight’s photo is one I took earlier in the day of the dark clouds moving in. Also with the 24mm. I do like the way this is framed.
