The last day of the month. I’d like to turn down the speed of time, if I may!

Today started out as a telework day but, due to an extremely slow network connection and a looming deadline, I headed into work at 2 pm. There was no traffic and I got a parking spot close to my building…win win!

This is what the sky looked like as I left my building at the end of the day.

The sunset was very interesting: I had a hard time capturing what I was seeing, trying many settings without success. Then I tried a polarizing filter on my lens and am very happy with the results.

I tried something different for tonight’s painting…adding salt. I’ve tried this technique before but never had much success with it. This time I painted, added salt, then left it for several hours. I was so surprised and delighted with the outcome!

My niece asked for a painting of a turtle. It slipped my mind until just yesterday. Thought I’d practice a bit;
