365…145

What a perfect Saturday spring morning! I woke to a blue sky and singing birds.

I spent the day with in the city with family and enjoyed a mani pedi. It’s not something I do very often…only my second time ever. But I’m going to a special party tomorrow and thought it would be nice.

I had a hard time with my painting tonight. No ideas were coming to me. I tried painting forget-me-nots (practiced for 30 mins, filling up two sheets) but didn’t like how they turned out. So I painted a sky with big white clouds. But I needed to add something more. So I added tree tops. Then a bird, like I did yesterday. But the looked weird. I wiped it off, leaving a light brown smudge. I added orange and red highlights to create a sunset feeling. Then added in grass which make my tree tops into full trees. A couple of mountains and a little water and three birds. Not my best but I’m happy with how it turned out especially after all of the “oops'”.

The photo was a little easier. I had a few good bird photos from this morning but then I stopped to take pictures of the Lièvre river which is still high. A beautiful site.
