365…113

23 April 2019

A beautiful day even if the sun was hiding most of the day. And now a rainy night. I really do love a rainy night!

After work – I worked from home today – I had a nap. At some point I was thinking about what I would paint tonight. Then I saw a light blue background with brown reeds. So pretty. I love blue and brown together, almost as much as I love yellow.

I checked my phone and camera but the only photos I had taken during the day were of my cats cuddling this afternoon while I was working. This will sound weird but my male cat Dukes hates having his photo posted. I know, right eh? But you should see his demeanour when I tell him I posted his photo to Instagram or he’s my photo of the day. He gets pouty.

So I grabbed my camera and ventured outside. Let me just say, I didn’t get a lot of sleep the night before and, even with a nap, I was feeling very tired. The last thing I wanted to be doing was walking around outside taking pictures. But, that’s what I was doing. It took a few minutes for something to catch my eye. But it did…steely blue sky with brownish corn stalks. Blue and brown. Nice combo! Bare (brown) tree branches against blue sky and cloudy sky.

A half dozen photos taken and I was feeling good! I’m glad I push myself to keep up with being creative when I’m tired and definitely not in the mood to be creative. It helps with my day job, or life really, when you’re required to be creative on demand or find creative solutions quickly. This #365CreativityProject is a great workout, a great way to practice and be prepared.
